New and Positive Market Indicators in the Pasack Valley

As one of many Realtors who works 24/7, I have a constant hand on the pulse of the Real Estate Market, and I am always looking for signs of a change in the Market Place where I work, the Pascack Valley of Bergen County, New Jersey.  I have noticed some wonderful signs recently of a change in our local Real Estate Market.

1.  Homes which have been on the market for a while are going "Under Contract".

2.  There appears to be increased activity at the Open Houses, even though  this is the Holiday Season.

3.  A number of homes are closing at or near asking price.  (I have had 3 of my own listings and one sale very recently experience this.)

4.  Interest rates are at historically very low levels, and buyers are taking advantage of locking in to 30 year fixed rate loans at under 6 percent.

5.  Sellers have adjusted their prices significantly, which is being recognized by a number of astute buyers.

This should be exciting news for both Buyers and Sellers in the Pascack Valley.  Another one of my beautiful listings just went into attorney review today, by a young family with two beautiful children who realized that NOW is the time to purchase a home.
