Wow, and I thought *I* was old!  I don't remember quite a few things on this list, but it could be a regional thing or it could be I just had a sheltered life.  "Cigarettes for Christmas"  in particular stands out...hee hee...that just doesn't sound, uh, right. 

I DO remember metal ice trays with levers...my mom used to make this absolutely delicious lemon ice box dessert in those ice trays.  For some reason, I mentioned this to a friend recently, who died laughing -- her mom made the same stuff!!  To this day, I have wonderful memories of those metal ice trays.

I remember candy cigarettes. By the way, my babysitter didn't know that the Police were a rock band. Of course she wasn't born when Synchronicity was released.
