Wilsonville Old Church & Pub & Wilsonville Outdoor Amphitheater
McMenamin's Old Church and Pub was built in 1911 on an ancient route just North of the site where Boone's Ferry made regular crossings of the Willamette river for more than 100 years. The church stood at the North end of the original village, a few blocks from the crossing. The Boone's Ferry Road ran through the town center to the ferry, following the same route as an ancient Native American trail leading through the Willamette Valley.
The namesake of the ferry and of the road, Alphonso Boone, was a grandson of American frontiersman, Daniel Boone. He settled in this area is 1846 and established a regular ferry service.
Today, the interior of the pub (the Old Church) is filled with unusual artwork and colorful morals.
The architecture is reminiscent of the original ferry dock with its huge wooden pillars and cross beams overhead.
It is filled with life, laughter, good conversations and great food.
McMenamins brewery is set in the former Church's basement and gives us outstanding brews for all to enjoy.
