90 Minutes In Heaven by Don Piper

90 Minutes in Heaven, by Don Piper is an amazing story of recovery from a literally fatal car crash. Don Piper, a Baptist preacher, is on his way home from a conference in Texas when his car is struck head on by a semi-truck. Paramedics leave him for dead in the car while the rest of the accident scene is removed. Don believes that he spent the next 90 minutes in heaven until the power of other's prayer brought him back to Earth. Don spent nearly the next two years in intense physical recuperation. Don attests that his recovery comes by way of prayer. His and those around him. Even though he will never physically be the same, his belief in a higher power is stronger than ever.

Throughout his ordeal and to this day Don learned to look at the positive in his life. Everyday he gives thanks for the little things and the big things: his wife, children, friends, family, home a good meal, an interesting book, a beautiful sunset.

While still in a wheelchair, one of his caretakers introduced him to the "rock of gratitude". A simple stone that he carries with him in his pocket that reminds him to give thanks. I too believe in giving thanks. In times of trouble remember to give thanks for everything else that is going right in your life. Read Don's story if want to know how bad adversity can get. It might make your troubles seem trivial.

Keep the faith!

That shoud end any pity partying taking place because of a slower real estate market.  Thanks for the reality check.

GOD led me to read this book around 2007 . Little did I know , I would be sharing it's message at TWO Family funerals. Both times 66%+ of the audience were non believers, but came away saying what was shared from the book offered hope !!!
