Carlsbad has a reputation for some wonderful, and upscale, residential neighborhoods.
The area around the Four Seasons, in South Carlsbad, is known as Aviara, and buyers seeking a Carlsbad home have plenty of options among the Aviara neighborhoods, with each offering homes that vary in style, price ($500s to over $2 million), size and feel. Many of the Carlsbad homes in Aviara are detached, but some are attached and there are both gated and ungated communities. Aviara is known for its lush landscaping, beautiful ocean, lagoon and golf course views, miles of trails and sidewalks for bicyclists and pedestrians, and the Batiquitos Lagoon and wildlife preserve. And, of course, the Four Seasons itself, with fine dining at Vivace, a terrific health club and spa, several boutiques, and the famed Aviara Golf Course. Serenata is one such neighborhood, located just north of Aviara Parkway near the top-north Aviara Oaks Elementary School and Aviara Oaks Middle School, and perhaps a 5 minute drive to the Four Seasons. An attractive community in a somewhat hilly area, Serenata homes are all detached, and tending to be on the larger side - single story homes are 2690 SF, two story homes are at least 3300 SF, and with 3 to 5 bedrooms.
Some Serenata homes are on the Aviara golf course, offering wonderful views; others may provide appealing vies of the neighborhood or the hills. Serenata is considered a move-up community by many residents; home prices in 2007 have ranged from $930,000 to about $1.2 million.
Currently there are 4 Carlsbad homes for sale in Serenata to choose from, with 4 or 5 bedrooms, about 3400 SF up to almost 4400SF, and priced from $895,000 to $1,295,000. What could be better than living in a resort residential community near beautiful beaches in the serene neighborhood of Aviara's Serenata...your new Carlsbad home. |
