spare_horseIn this day and time it is highly unlikely that any one would venture out into the world of transportation without a spare tire.

It is the "be prepared" admonishing we were all taught as we were growing up.

In the western  world of days gone by,  it was probably important to have auxiliary transportation along for the ride!

We witnessed this as we watched the warm up to the Grand Entry to the Rodeo last night.

Having a spare horse around is a great idea.  One of the horses in the Grand Entry parade suddenly developed an attitude as he pranced along.  The bucking action he suddenly developed was unwelcome!  He had a very elderly official on his back at the time the case of extreme frisky attack occurred.

Quick thinking by those right around the rider resulted in his safe dismount.  He elected to walk to the fence and stayed there.

He did have the option of getting on another horse had he chosen to.  He may have just had more fun than he could stand in one day!

Good morning Ralph and Jeanne. This certainly isn't what I was expecting but I truly enjoyed it. The picture is wonderful and the point taken.
