Master Bedroom Update – New Accessories go a Long Way

This master bedroom was a tough color to work with because not only was it on the brighter side, it photographed even brighter as you see in the photos. However my clients have three kids, work full time and have a cute little dog so I totally understood that painting wasn't an option for them. I shot the MLS photos when the most sunlight came into the room which was much truer to its real color.

Morris County's Elite Staging and Redesign has a huge inventory of everything but furniture. Adding new bedding, pillows, art, and lamps did the job!  I would have also removed 2 dressers, but my clients really didn’t have any place to store them so I worked with what I had. This bedroom took  only 10 miniutes to stage!

 The sole purpose of staging is to showcase the home…..but new accessories really helps to update the overall look of any home going on the market and give it a cohesive, crisp look that directs your attention to the home, not the decor.

I think had they at least made their bed and tidied up a little, then at least it would have been more presentable (and maybe not as big of a impact). Cleanliness makes a big difference.

Kristine, Beautiful results!  I am especially impressed with your willingness to do the very best with what is available.  I think it is the trademark of a great stager to be able to acknowlege clients time and financial limits, and do the very best that you can with what is available (and of course a trunk load of bedding and large accessories).  Great job!

WOW WOW WOW ... the before and after are outstanding.  The wall color is much less harsh and the after picture makes it appear as though there is more space between the end of the bed and the window / dresser wall -- I had to double check that it was the same bed !!

Kudos to you ... wonderful work!!
