Coldwell Banker, I love you!

As you know, I belong to the Mazaheri Soo Team - Marjan Mazaheri and Douglas Soo are two very hard working, successful, established REALTORS based out of Vancouver, BC.  What you might not know is that they're also the owners of the office, Coldwell Banker City Centre Realty based in Coal Harbour. 

Coldwell Banker is an amazing Real Estate brand - I thought I'd share some Coldwell Banker facts with you all so you can fall in love too! First of all - I'd love to present Coldwell Banker. A little about Coldwell Banker

Coldwell Banker was founded in 1906. After the devastating 1906 San Francisco Earthquake and fires, real estate agent Colbert Coldwell decided to form a new real estate company.

Coldwell disapproved of the then-common practice of real estate agents acquiring properties for themselves, often from uninformed sellers at ridiculously low prices, and then reselling them for huge profits. He and two partners formed the company of Tucker, Lynch and Coldwell on August 27, 1906.

In 1913, Benjamin Arthur Banker joined the firm as a salesman and became a partner in 1914. He and Coldwell remained active in the company throughout their lives.

Fast forward to today - the Coldwell Banker brand has a global reach with approx. 87,000 agents, offices in 49 countries and territories. Coldwell Banker is everywhere!

Coldwell Banker represents so many things to me - Innovation is one of my favorites that comes to mind. Coldwell Banker is always on the leading edge of technology - always in the front of the line when trying out new marketing avenues.. For instance - Coldwell Banker had already made a presence on Pinterest within weeks of it emerging as the newest social media tool.

*Fun fact - Coldwell Banker also advanced its platform of innovation by becoming the first national real estate company to join the popular virtual world in www.secondlife.com in March 2007* Four months later, the brand extended its presence in Second Life by unveiling a 3-D exact replica of a $3.1 million real home for sale in Mercer Island, Wash. Coldwell Banker was the first national real estate brand to make a real home available for 3-D home tours in the virtual world.

The channel was created to more fully tap into the power of video for real estate search and discovery, and to drill deeper into the local insights that consumers want. Coldwell Banker Real Estate closely collaborated with both YouTube, a Google subsidiary, and Google to develop a customized framework and user experience – offering what is arguably one of the most comprehensive and immersive brand channels on the YouTube platform. On Location is the first branded YouTube channel to use dynamic IP lookup to search for videos, which automatically serves up local results when visitors first hit the site. Videos have been viewed more than 2 MILLION times on their site - no small feat!

The attention to mobile technology returned in July 2009 with Coldwell Banker becoming the first national brand with international listings on an iPhone, Blackberry and Google Android application.
