Flowers blooming, birds singing; this is a great time of year in the Triangle. Although this Winter was very mild, it’s still exciting to anticipate the arrival of Spring.

Saturday, March 17th - Arbor Day Tree Planting, Cary Town Hall
Spruce volunteers will plant an honorary dogwood tree at Town Hall on March 17. Citizens are encouraged to join us from 10-11:30 a.m. to pot their own free dogwood tree to take home. Our Certified Arborist will be on hand to teach about appropriate tree and site selection as well as proper tree planting techniques.
Saturday March 17th – Designers Downtown Market – Downtown Raleigh
Outdoor market where vendors showcase some of the finest handcrafted arts and crafts in the area: jewelry, pottery, apparel, stained glass, paper crafts and more!
Saturday, March 24th - Wheels on Academy, Cary Classic Car Show, Downtown Cary
Spend a nice spring day enjoying the nostalgia of yesteryear as you marvel at classic cars brought back to life! All types of classic roadsters and motorcycles will arrive on Academy Street and enliven the downtown with a glimpse of Cary as it was when the classics ruled the roads. Come find that special car that evokes memories of your past. Enjoy food, activities and fun for the entire family.

Saturday May 5th - 2nd Annual Cary Baisakhi Festival - Koka Booth Amphitheatre, Cary.
Baisakhi is a Punjab holiday that represents the beginning of the new solar year and start of the new harvest season. This unique cultural festival will feature local and regional dance and music performances, vendors and ethnic food. Activities are suited for the entire family. The Cary Baisakhi Festival is co-sponsored by Punjabi Unlimited and the Town of Cary Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department.

The Iranian Cultural Society of North Carolina proudly presents the second annual North Carolina Persian Festival We will have Dances (Adults and Children), live music performances, cultural presentations, fashion show, Calligraphy and wonderful foods.
