The Loud Girl Gets Noticed: B of A Gives Me a Call
A couple of days ago, I posted a rant both here and on my WordPress blog about the five month struggle I’ve had getting an approval on a Bank of America Cooperative Short Sale. I pointed out inefficiencies in their system and complained that the only way I made any progress was by getting angry and seeking the help of supervisors. The post was also shared on LinkedIn and FB, so it was out there.
Well, imagine my surprise when I received a call yesterday from a member of the B of A Social Media Team! Who knew that they actually have a team of people that report directly to the CEO and do nothing but monitor social media for complaints about Bank of America? My first thought was that they were calling to warn me to expect a lawsuit, but to my surprise the gentleman actually wanted to know if there was anything he could do to help!
Apparently, the sole job of this team is to identify consumers and professionals that are out in the public screaming about problems with B of A. Considering the well-deserved bad press they’ve received over the past few years, probably a good idea. Once a team member identifies a problem, he or she has access to the entire bank’s system and they will escalate the issue to the appropriate superior and remain in contact until the problem is resolved. Wow! Wish I’d had this inside track 3 months ago!
So if any of you are having issues with Bank of America my new buddy suggested that the best way to get help is to tweet about your problem @BofA_Help, or contact me and I’ll share his mobile number :) For me, we finally have our approval and are in escrow, but I told him if I have ANY issues with this deal or the new B of A short sale I just opened, he would be the first person I’ll call. Kind of nice to know that we’re not writing in a void and we can make things happen!
