We spent this afternoon showing homes to prospective Buyers of New Construction. Tony doesn't usually work with Buyers - however - since these Buyers are his parents - this is an exception!
We visited three builders - Meritage, Greystone and Beazer - all in the Palm Valley area.
For base price homes in the $400-425K range, all builders were offering significant incentives to Buyers:
Meritage - 65K plus 3-6% additional depending on lender
Greystone - Over 100K in total incentives - dropping a 451K home to 350K
Beazer - 75K credit to options and upgrades
The deals are still out there - however - many fiscal years end 12/31/06 - and according to the reps at these three builders, they expect the "year end" incentives to be a thing of the past next week.
