Congratulations to Shauna Hostetler- Winner of Seat 1 of Wellington City Council
Shauna Hostletler is a very good friend of mine. We have known each other for over 15 years. 
We attend the same church together and our kids grew up together. She was the Boy Scout committee chairman when my sons were scouting. Shauna has served her church community and Wellington community for over two decades. She gives and gives of her time unselfishly.
We are so proud of Shauna and all the hard work and hours that went into her campaign for city council seat 1. Wellington is very blessed to have Shauna at their service.
It was a tough race here in Wellington and there was major money being spent to oust our mayor who was up for re-election. Margolis won the mayor seat. I will save my opinion about that race for another time. Al Paglia won seat 4 and kicked out the incumbent Matt Willhite. The politics behind the scenes of the mayor campaign were unheard of ever in a city council election. There was a huge smear campaign against Darryl Bowen - all of it was unfounded and most of it were lies. But people believe and feed into negative campaigns. They work, they have always worked and will continue to work.
