OWNING A HOME FOR OWNING A HOMES SAKE

The theme of this post is pure and simple. No more schemes by investors or Wall Street to make money using the housing market anymore. When Wall Street was having questionable times years ago, they shifted their quick buck strategy to Real Estate. Then, the race to make money began ala corruption

THE ROOTS OF AMERICA

The Principal of buying a home, making payments, taking care of it, raising a family and belonging to a community over time is what makes America strong and gives us all a sense of connection all across this country. Our bond is our roots that we laid down

GREED MUST BE CONTAINED AND CONTROLLED

Others have come in and corrupted this process in the name of making money and nothing else. Investors do not care about community, schools, neighbors, pride of ownership or long term growth. Money in and money out and their world is a place of poverty even with all the money potentials

LAND OF responsible OPPORTUNITY

Our country and its economic foundations support this type of thinking...ways to make a buck...One thing I have learned and will preach now more than ever is to own a home for owning homes sake and not to make money is what needs to come back...Using homes as investments only doesn't work..

OWNING HOME MAKES SENSE ALWAYS

Buy a home. Settle down and and enjoy life. In 15-20 years, you will have little or no payment per month and will need less income. Between now and then, please enjoy the little time we have here as we are passing through. Food shelter and clothing are not difficult things to attain here in the United States of America thanks to those who started, maintained and continue to fight for this privileged place

GREED=POOR IN SPIRIT

But greed and not being content bothers and eludes many. Real Estate works for the right reasons if we do

Good point, Richie!  Home ownership is what has made this Country so special!  You can talk about the investment aspects of owning real estate, but it all comes down to that one simple thing >>  OWNING your home!

HI Richie, you and I are on the same page.  In addition I always emphasize that owning a home makes voters.  When you have a say into who makes your laws, into how much property tax you are willing to pay and for what, you are automatically more involved if you are a homeowner.  It's part of that being responsible that you mentioned.

Have a great week!

Funny that I was just reading yesterday that you can now go to the Richard Nixon library in Yorba Linda and see the home where he grew up.  His father ordered a home kit through a catalog and it showed up on the train.  He then assembled the house on the plot of land he had purchased and raised his family there.  Say what you will about Nixon and his Presidency, but I think this is a great story about the value of home (not just a house) and how vital it was to a future President.
