Why Can't They Leave Santa Alone?

By
Services for Real Estate Pros

I was brought up believing in Santa Claus, a jolly happy elf. He wore a red suit, red cap, black boots and when he laughed it came out "HO HO HO!" and his "his belly shook like a bowl full of jelly."

Now, in Australia, Santa has been banned from saying "Ho Ho Ho" because it may be offensive to woman. Santa's helpers or elves have been asked to say Ha Ha Ha instead.

Excuse me?

Now I also read that another reason Ho Ho Ho has been banned is because it scares the children.

Sigh....

It gets worse!

Recently the Surgeon General told the Boston Herald that "Santa is too fat and setting a bad example for children"

WHAT?

I don't know about you, but Santa didn't set a bad example for me or my step daughter. We turned out just fine, thank you very much.

Leave poor Santa alone. He does a lot of good in the world and doesn't hurt anyone.

So what if he's chubby?

Anyway, how could a skinny Santa's belly shake like a bowl full of jelly?

Enough already....

How do you feel about this mess?

Lysa, Things are getting a little out of hand, don't you think?  Ho Ho Ho is now offensive?  He's chubby and jolly and it's a problem?  Didn't they just de-rank him from being called St. Nick?  It makes me worried that by next year he'll have vanished--with the elves and reindeers.

I didn't know Ho Ho Ho could scare children.  And there's nothing wrong with being fat! Fat is not a character flaw or a moral disorder.  Idiots.

next he won't be able to wear red and the white imitation fur will offend someone, they will expect him to be clean shaven and I think a good possibility will be cruelty to animals.  Of course I could go on and on with the elves and Mrs. Clauses glasses ......Ridiculous!

In my mind Santa says ho ho and I love his jolly belly....so sue me!

People really have more important things they should be obsessing over....poverty,war,illness,torture etc.

Are they just too much to tackle?

and what about the sweat shop labor?  how much do those elves make anyway?  what are their hours?

this is definitely something in real life we want to worry about, but not in Santa life.

Midori, They'll probabably let him keep the beard... They'll have to sue a whole bunch of us!

Anna, Is it animal cruelity if they enjoy working all night? Noo! :) We'll fight that one too!

Joan, I hear you! You're right they need to stop picking on our good guys!

Chris, The elves get beautiful homes to live and hot cocoa for life, they have it made! Unlike other sweat shops we see on the news. Yep, we should be worrying about that instead.

Lysa - this type of stuff just irritates the bejeebers out of me!!  I think some of these people ought to just get over themselves and lighten up a little!  Santa is alive and well in my house - and if folks can't deal with it, then please feel free not to visit.
