Everything about SEO has been covered in books and articles in recent months. But there has not been anything really groundbreaking about search engine optimization for real estate. Some companies sell packages now that offer this type of service built in which is a huge step. This kind of thing did not exist until recently.

Even though keyword driven search engine friendly pages catch the attention of search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo there is no guarantee that people are going to come to your pages. This is especially true if there are tons of things in your websites that block potential home buying searchers such as Flash, Javascript and other hazards.

There are new emerging technologies that cut through a lot of the unworkable areas on the web. These are not pay per click accounts in the classic sense but cost per click that racks in around $0.004 up to $0.25.  Needless to say your money can go a lot further on this type of search and the potential is humungous. Instead of paying the Google fees of $12.00 or $42.00 a keyword you can actually come in for a lot less and literally kill the market you want to win over.

I have a problem with the way Google cancelled out PPC accounts without any warning a few months back. This left a lot of online real estate marketers out of luck. They had to go back to traditional ways to drive people to their websites including radio, print and television. This isn't always a great option for some of us.

The way this new technolgy works is that it allows you to use high traffic zones such as The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times, Amazon, Best Buy and so on to get high quality web traffic to your site. You have to match up the quality traffic with keywords. Lets say someone is crawling through the real estate section in the newspaper. You have some great properties in the Hamptons that you want to show to a qualified buyer. Your website would appear as is or in a separate smaller pop up window alongside the New York Times real estate section.  There are no two ways about it you will see a real traffic spike in your traffic report and the phone will actually ring.

We have been testing this in our studio recently and have found some tremendous results.
I don't expect to go back to traditional PPC any time soon.
