How many times have you done something wrong
only to find.... you WISHED you were forgiven....

• You saw your error and went to the person(s) you
  offended to ask forgiveness, only to be thrown out
  of their presence, with no explanation whatsoever.
• The person maybe still holds it over you to this day.
• Mercy does SO MUCH for BOTH people when it is given.

Which brings us to the sixth part of our
teaching in life from Jesus the Messiah.....

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

When a person does NOT forgive you for something,
the best thing to do is forgive them for NOT forgiving YOU.

When you were wronged (everyone is offended at one
time or another), did you look to see WHY the person
did what they did? Did you forgive them?

• Did you try to walk in their shoes and understand them?
• Did you go to other people they respected and try to get
  things taken care of by hopefully having them try to talk
  sense into them?
• When things did not go right, as sometimes they will,
  did you forgive them?

God gives mercy to those who are merciful........ they are blessed.

Lets take a look at blessings a person will get,
according to the bible, if they are merciful in their life:

• Lord, with the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful;
  with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; Psalm 18:25 
• The merciful man doeth good to his own soul:
  but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh. Proverbs 11:17

Lets see what God asks of us in life ~~ to uphold what Jesus teaches:
(These verses are hundreds of years BEFORE Jesus lived on earth)

• Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy
  neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: so shalt thou
  find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3:3-4
• He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life,
  righteousness, and honour. Proverbs 21:21
• Therefore return to your God! Hold fast to love and mercy,
  to righteousness and justice, and wait [expectantly] for your
  God continually! Hosea 12:6
• He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the
  Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and
  mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

Here are some new testament verses
to give you guidance, encouragment and warning:

• Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, pretenders (hypocrites)! For you give a tenth of your mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected and omitted the weightier (more important) matters of being a disciple--doing right and being just, merciful and loyal. These you ought [particularly] to have done, without neglecting the others. Matthew 23:23 (It looks like even if we give money to the poor and do other good works, we STILL need to forgive others...)
• But love your enemies and be kind and do good [doing favors so that someone derives benefit from them] and lend, expecting and hoping for nothing in return but considering nothing as lost and despairing of no one; and then your recompense (your reward) will be great (rich, strong, intense, and abundant), and you will be
  sons of the Most High, for He is kind and charitable and good to the ungrateful and the selfish and wicked. So be merciful (sympathetic,
  tender, responsive, and compassionate) even as your Father is
  [all these]. Luke 6:35-36

• Clothe yourselves therefore, as God's own chosen ones (His own
  picked representatives), [who are] purified and holy and well-beloved
  [by God Himself, by putting on behavior marked by] tenderhearted
  pity and mercy, kind feeling, a lowly opinion of yourselves, gentle ways,
  [and] patience [which is tireless and long-suffering, and has the power to
  endure whatever comes, with good temper]. 

• Be gentle and forbearing with one another and, if one has
  a difference (a grievance or complaint) against another,
  readily pardoning each other; even as the Lord has [freely]
  forgiven you, so must you also [forgive]. Colossians 3:12-13

• So speak and so act as [people should] who are to be judged under
  the law of liberty [the moral instruction given by Christ, especially
  about love]. For to him who has shown no mercy the judgment
  [will be] merciless, but mercy [full of glad confidence] exults
  victoriously over judgment. What is the use (profit), my brethren,
  for anyone to profess to have faith if he has no [good] works
  [to show for it]? Can [such] faith save [his soul]? James 2:12-14
