Yes! Spring is in full swing in Cary NC!

So, what's on deck?

Well, the Bradford Pears are fading to green, and the dogwoods and azaleas are starting to light up the landscape.

Warm season grasses are greening up.

Daffodils are making way for tulips, while hyacinths bridge the gap.

Cherries are shedding petals.

I'm sitting here with 50 gladiolus bulbs, and 4 or 5 elephant ears, wondering if I have enough of either, and pondering whether we have seen the last frost, and if I can set them out.

And somehow, I have to get out and gather a few pixels routinely, since the beauty is fleeting, and I do believe the redbud is my favorite early bloomer.

Lindsey,

Thanks.  Sure beats spending a day in the office!

Judi,

I am seeking a mix of redbuds and dogwoods, and no luck so far...

Endre,

Thank you for the compliment!  It gets easy when one has such great subject matter.

Pat,

Our winter was SO mild, we have everything early this year.

William,

And we have several weeks of spring ahead of us.  I hope to slip out for an hour or so this afternoon and add some shots.
