I'm Now A Certified Distressed Property Expert CDPE

Managing Real Estate Broker with ERA American Real Estate

Okaloosa County Realtor Brandon Jordan is pleased to announce that he has earned the prestigious Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) designation, making him an extensively trained Realtor in foreclosure avoidance and short sales.

During his focused training, Brandon received specific understanding of the complex issues that surround today’s real estate market. Those trained to be a Certified Distressed Property Expert are able to provide solutions for homeowners who are facing real estate hardships.

Making the choice to foreclose (or not foreclose) on a home is emotionally and financially draining for the homeowner, and more often than not they go through the process without the proper guidance. This most certainly creates more problems than it solves.

Certified Distressed Property Experts believe that the best course of action for homeowners facing foreclosure is for them to speak with a well informed and highly trained licensed Realtor who has the right tools and skills to help find the best solution for the homeowner’s specific situation.

Often times this means helping distressed homeowners avoid a credit-crushing foreclosure through a properly executed short sale. Short sales allow the homeowner to repay their mortgage at the price the home sells for, even when it is less than what is owed on the property.

Although more and more lenders are now willing to consider short sales over foreclosures, the short sale process is still quite confusing and hard to navigate. Selecting a Realtor who is a Certified Distressed Property Expert ensures the homeowner that they are working with a real estate professional who has been properly trained to aide in the short sale process.

Need to ease the pain of an unstable and confusing real estate market?

A Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE) has a thorough understanding of complex issues in today’s turbulent real estate industry and knowledge of foreclosure avoidance options available to homeowners. CDPEs can provide solutions, specifically short sales, for homeowners facing market hardships.

Homeowners regularly proceed without guidance of any kind through the often financially and emotionally devastating prospect of foreclosure. Speaking with a well-informed, licensed real estate professional is the best course of action for a homeowner in distress. Through comprehensive training and experience, CDPEs have the tools to help homeowners find the best solutions for their unique situations and to avoid foreclosure through the efficient execution of a short sale.

Living through financial difficulties poses a challenge for any family, so why make the process of finding a qualified real estate professional difficult too? Select an agent with the CDPE Designation to ensure you have a trained professional to address your specific needs. For more information, contact a CDPE in your area.

CDPEs don’t merely assist in selling properties, they serve and help save their clients in need.

As of March 2012, CDPE has 35,000+ members, and Brandon Jordan is now one of them.

If you’re facing foreclosure and want to do your best to avoid it, call Brandon today at (850) 758-1236.

My guess is, it gives a good understanding, but like anything else once you do a few you realize things arn't quite what the book says.

Being a CDPE brings us a feeling that we are in touch with the pulse of the current real estate market.  This brings confidence and the clients feel this and respond positively.  It also shows that you didn't want to be a ticket taker but a true professional. Congratulations!

LOL.  Designations are all about the income to the entities offering them.  You are certified "UNTIL NEXT YEAR".  LOL!

That aside... congrats on completing your training.

CDPE has a 47% success rate on short sales. Please pull up a chair and start learning how to really do them. I suggest you share your first listing on these groups and ask for advice so you don't have a 53% failure rate.

Amiri thanks for stopping by and the comment, I am interested in finding out where you are looking at the 47 % rate. The facts are that the CDPE agents have closed 4 times more short sales than other agents, this of course is nationwide. 53% failure rate is incorrect by far for my area and myself.

Their flaw in training is that they treat this transaction as a retail transaction and the students are taught to submit the highest and best offers. By doing so, you are shooting yourself in the foot to close the transaction.

I had an opportunity to go over their paperwork and traning guide. Looks pretty good, but from what I have seen, they fail on the core principals of a short sale.
