Simply search for 'mckeon engineering' http://www.mckeonengineering.com/ (it was always on top for that search).

For the last two months I could search for 'mckeon engineering' and find my site.  Now I can't.

Google was quite adept at searching my site (and, yes, it is a template website).  Google's bot came up with the different search words (keywords) pretty well for two months.  We skyrocketed to the top and became the number one or close for our major keywords.  Now you cannot find us at all except through other blogs or other engines.

Try doing a search for 'www.mckeonengineering.com' and then do a search for 'www.mckeonengineering.com mckeon' and you will see that the main page is buried now.

Google has attempted to erase me from the internet by removing my website from their searches.  http://www.live.com/ and http://www.ask.com/ and other search engines still have my site listed, but I was high on the list until tonight.  Now you cannot find my site at all.

WHY? What possible motivation could Google have for taking this action?

Maybe you're in their penalty box. Are you doing alot of link exchanges? I believe if you log into your webmaster tools in Google and you are penalized, there will be a message.

Please, let us know what you find out so we can avoid this!

Bummer.

Literally, my main page has been removed.  It is still searchable on yahoo, live and ask as well as a few other search engines but Google doesn't show it anymore.  I was trying to get them to show the map location under Professional Civil Engineer instead of under Real Estate Inspection and Surveying.

I don't know what I did, but it has seemed to happen.  Could happen to you.

Like the proverbial elephant stepping on the mouse's tail, Google has done that to me.

I am a small business looking for a way to get recognized without a lot of cash to do so.

So Thomas, do tell.

Does doing these types of blogs really help your seo or page ranking.  Just interested because if it does I am on the band wagon.

Take care!

I did this search  http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=mckeon+engineering

and two of your web pages are listed at 9 & 10, and all above are links to you site.

AND at 12 & 13 are your Active Rain Stuff.

And when I did:  http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=www.mckeonengineering.com

You're one and two with two active rain links at three & four.

Are you just spoofing us to cause more Google searches on those key words or what.

Or can't you read the Google links pages.

Besides whose going to search using those terms unless they already know your name.  Then they can just look up the phone number.

Perhaps you ought to optimize for keywords like "engineer orlando florida" or "civil engineer orlando FL" something similar.  Ya know, something a customer would actually use to find an engineer in Orlando when they don't know any.

And then post some real stuff here instead of the drivel that you've posted so far.  Yuck.  Have you read your own BLOG!

For instance, write an article about your communit and post it on localism.  If you don't know what that is, search AR for it.  There's plenty of info on it.

http://localism.com/real-estate/FL/Orange%20County/Orlando Just make it interesting to the community.

Besides, your site is relatively new.  Give it some time, work on it, optimize it for the keywords your customers would use, link exchange, directory listing, etc.  It'll happen.

You can do it if you really want to do it.

If you were to search for those terms that include mckeon, there are pages that point to some of the pages on my website.  However, the main page is not there.

The keywords like engineer orlando florida and civil engineer orlando fl would have found my site three days ago, but, since my main page is no longer searchable, my pages don't show up.

My activerain posts do show up and other blogs or listings show up but my main page (which shot to the top in the organic i.e., Google searches) which used to show up on the first page when searching for "professional civil engineer in orlando" is no longer active.

My site was optimized up to three days ago.

This is not a spoof.
