If you haven't weighed in yet today or taken a guess at "Two Lies And A Truth", check out

The past few weeks have been a roller coaster ride.
Between dealing with my stolen car, my insurance agent, two adjusters, the service manager and taking care of Mickey for five days, it's amazing that I still have a few hairs left on my head.
After the first two days with Mickey, I believe we called an "unspoken truce" and everything was fine for the last three days together. Per usual, she kicked my A$$ at Rummy and we had movie marathons every day. Mickey planned menus, I cooked.
The thorn in my side, the stolen car.
Yesterday a settlement was made. A check has been issued for the repairs of my car and the work has begun. We got the issue of the $500 deductible, which I have already met, resolved and they are issuing me a check for my out of pocket expenses. The two parking tickets were waived, the rental car has been extended and things seem to be moving along nicely. I believe I hear the "fat lady" warming up in the wings and she'll be singing any day now.
I can't recall the last time I was so excited to hear the "fat lady" sing.

lol, 'fat lady':)
I had my share of ups and downs, and probably all of us have that. The most important to remember: all that is temporary.....remember the ring?:) 'it will pass'
thanks for sharing your 'nice end' .
Roger: It's not nice to talk about the fat lady on weigh in day! HA! So glad things are finally on the UPrise! ♥
Roger, some periods in our life, when it rains it pours, and we just have to wear the rain coat and hold on to tight the umbrella blowing in the wind. Sorry to hear about the stolen car. That is awful. I hope brighter days are closer by today.
Well glad things are mogving right along. Sometimes it seems we just can't get out of our own way and then the next day, the sun rises again. Go figure. Enjoy the song and praise the singer.
I was just telling a friend the other day that life has been throwing me lemons, I am doing very well at making sweet lemonade!

It's no fun when any of us are having those ups and downs Inna, sorry you've been going through some rough times. I know it's only temporary, but it helps to get it out in a blog instead of keeping it all bottled up inside. Best.
Then I should change it to the "fat man" and start singing myself Joni....................LOL. Thanks.
I like the way you phrased that Gary, very nice. Things are looking a bit better, thanks so much.
You are so right Dick............except no one promised me I was" in good hands", I was promised they were "on my side" but it was touch and go for a month and at first I was told I was on my own. It took a lot of phone calling, but in the end, it was worth the aggravation. Thank you for commenting.
I've been in my way for quite a while Sheila, and keep tripping over myself. Thanks, I think this "fat man" may just start singing too!
Don't you get tired of making lemonade sometimes Pamela? I know I do. Thanks for dropping by today.
Roger
It's time to get off the roller-coaster.
Good luck and success.

All this and the first day of Spring. Ahh, nothing but blue skies ahead, promise.
I agree Lou, and I'm ready. Thank you!
Gee I hope you're right Lizzie.............I can use some blue skies.
I told you there was a solution in site. Congrats on seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Roger-Sounds like you have had a real time of it. I hope the worst is over and the sunshine and good luck is coming your way.
Roger, the fat lady will be singing and you will be dancing....well driving your car!
Roger~ So glad to hear that you are getting close to the finish line. What movies did you and Mickey watch? We watched Moneyball over the weekend with Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill. I really didn't think it was Oscar material, but it was nominated.
Roger, Good to hear the home stretch is on!
OH good Roger...I am glad you can almost put that behind you. What an ordeal!
This will all be a distant faint memory before you know it. Unfortunately time flies by way too fast!
Roger, not having had a car stolen in years but did have a car totaled recently and that is neither an expense or a loss that can easily be swallowed
Roger,
Well.... you sure have had your share of butt kickings. Sorry to hear that man. But now that you're back on your feet, you'll be whistling while driving around in your new car and combing your hair away from your face.
Mickey is a true inspiration - if that woman can kick your butt at her age, well.... that just goes to show, you are strong, passionate, kind, and if Mickey can be tough, anybody can be tough.
I have a feeling that all that bad stuff is behind you and there's nothing but good things stored in your future.
Happy cruising!
BARFF- I sang for you 2 days ago!!!
