Cherry Blossoms in Kentlands at the First Spring Dawn in Maryland - Roy and Dolores Kelley Photographs
Roy, these are great pictures. It seems the trees are really blooming this year in Maryland and Virginia...
Roy,
Those Cherry Blossoms are a sight to see and worth seeing! You captured all their beauty. They are so lovely to look at and it's easy to enjoy them - just look at them. They are gorgeous! They look as great as the ones I saw last year in Switzerland. I would love to see the whole world with cherry blossoms at the same time. Can you imagine the arial view?
Amazing! Just beautiful!
Roy- how gorgeous. We lived in Leesburg for 4 years and loved this time of year. I'll never forget the first time we drove into DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Breathtaking.
Good morning to all. Thanks so much for your comments. Yes, a trip to the Washington, DC area to see the cherry blossoms is something you will enjoy. In addition to the cherry blossoms, there are many other blooms to see and photograph. The Star Magnolias are also beautiful in the spring.

Roy, absolutely breathtaking. I particularly like the softness of the morning sky colors against the white blossoms. Love those.
Wow Roy, those are just beautiful images... white blossoms against the pinkish tone of the sky, great timing!
Roy, fantastic photos of the che rry blossoms. Our trees are beginning to bloom and the beauty is so bountiful this time of the year.
Roy, just out of high school I lived in Arlington, and being present to the blooming of the cherry blossoms was my favorite time of the year!
Roy: You have out done yourself with the cherry blossom trees! These photos are magnificent!
Your photography is always terrific. These really take the cake! What a flow of colors. Enjoy your day!
Roy - Cherry Blossoms at dawn are an awesome sight! Thanks for sharing this one this morning.
Good morning to all. I always appreciate your comments. We have a little fog in Maryland this morning and it is not the best for flower photographs.
One of the comments asked about the Maryland state flower.
The Black-Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta) has been the official Maryland flower since 1918 when it was designated the "Floral Emblem" of Maryland by the General Assembly.
This photograph is from the Maryland State Archives
Simply stunning! Your photos should be used as post cards ;) Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures with us!
