SHRED Yourself of Paper Clutter!


Saturday, April 21st @ 9 to 10 a.m.

Mokena Community Public Library District


 

 

     Mark the date of April 21st on your calendar, Mokena, IL residents ...

 

Mokena (IL) Community Public Library Dist. Shark Shredder Paper Shredding Event April 21, 2012     Then set yourself a goal and get de-cluttering your homes and home offices of old paper files, billing statements, cancelled checks, no-longer-needed documents, and more!


     Your Mokena Community Public Library is hosting a Shark Shredder - Paper Shredding Event that will help you "shred and shed" yourself and your home of papers and documents you no longer want or need ... safely, securely, while protecting yourself from identity theft. 

 

       Rid yourself of unsightly, bulky old papers (etc.) cluttering-up and littering your home environment.  Get organized!  Then live "green" by  shredding and disposing of your papers at this April 21st event.  All shredded papers are recycled to help our environment.

 

     All Mokena, IL residents are invited to bring up to two (2) boxes full of papers for shredding.  You're then invited to stay and watch the on-site Shark Shredder dispose of your papers, if you'd like.

 

     This event is perfect for those hoping to sell their home soon ... or those simply hoping to get their home more organized!

 

     The Mokena Public Library and this event is located at:  11327 W. 191st Street in Mokena, IL.

Hi Gene ~ These community "shred days" are a great idea!  All of us have way too much paper.  In my neighborhood, we recycle all our paper each week, but if you have lots to shred, you can't beat these events.

Gene-   We had an event like this too in Dallas and it was a big success.   I prefer to participate in these events instead of using my home shredder.  Heck my home shredder gets jammed on just a few sheets of paper plus the the paperclips don't help either.

Hi Gene--had to stop by when I saw your title.  I grew up around Chicago and my best friend lived in Mokena.  I also lived in Naperville for several years.  I bet it has all changed a lot in the last 15 years.  I love those shredding events.  It's a great way for people to start decluttering!

I am currently in the process of shredding years worth of papers and files from my mother's estate.  This stuff weighs a ton.  Maybe I'll just head on over to Mokena and shred these, two boxes at a time.  That could take awhile.

Anna ... you're invited to Chicagoland and Mokena with or without a shredding event going on!  I'd LOVE to introduce you to my favorite people and spots when you're here.  And my new "gig" is going well.  It was an easy transition and one that will only expand and deepen the services I can offer.  And I will remind you .. in ALL 50 states too. 

I agree, Maureen.  Plus there is the added security of shredding papers that might hold financial, medical, or legal consequences within them.  You know for a fact that they are destroyed properly ... and can see it done right before your eyes ...  peace of mind ...

Totally understand, Stephanie.  Faster and less wear and tear on your own office shredder.  Sounds like a winning idea to me ...

Okay Janet ... now you have me intrigued.  Write me a note and let me know your friend's name.  Maybe I knew her and her family.  And over the last 15 years ... you bet the area has changed!  Sometimes it seems like it takes only 15 minutes and things pop-up new.  And you named two of the area's fastest-growing towns too ... Naperville and Mokena.  Back a few years ago when things were poppin' ... they added and expanded greatly.  Hope you let me know if you head back this way.  Lunch will be on me!

I feel your pain, Doug.  My wife and I had to do that with my mother-in-law's papers a few years back.  That generation saved EVERYthing!  Hope business is good for you ...
