The compliment that I soon won’t forget

Last week I wrote a blog called "That doesn't impress me much! And you want me to send you my clients?" about other real estate professionals asking me to send them business, without showing me why they deserve it, and if you want to do business with me or my clients, then you better refer a client to me first to show you can get the job done! Well fast forward to this week when one of my preferred lenders gives me a call and refers two clients to me! The first one was a great client and I look forward to working with him, but the second one was the one that floored me! This mortgage broker, after two years, paid me the highest compliment and best referral I could think of...She wanted to hire me as her Realtor! Talk about showing the love! She told me, "I wouldn't trust anyone else in your business after I've seen how you treat everyone of your clients like they are number one! You continually go out of your way for them and that is what I'm looking for in an agent."

So, now she is my client and my mortgage broker, and I can't wait to prove to her that all my clients are truly treated that way and she won't be treated any different.

WooHoo Todd!  Wouldn't have it any other way but to refer to a broker who has done well....and then they show the love back because they saw the same in you. Good job!

Todd - That is a great compliment. It is tough for people in "the industry" to decide on an agent because they don't want hurt the feelings of their other associates.

Wow! I tto have a mortgage broker that hired me to get her a house. I asked why. She said the same thing that she liked my pit bull mentality to get all the little details together. We had a deal together that she was financing and underwriting didn't like the way the title work came out.. (it was a HUD foreclosure). The original title company left off something. SHe called me in a panic...After I talked her down off the ledge I called the Sherriff and had the information she needed in about 30 minutes...the deal closed a week later...

It is tough for a broker or banker to pick one agent as then the rest feel left out...but she picked in my humble opinion...the best... :)

Scott - Clients always have to be number one, if they are not, then you are not in the right business. (With the exception of family... My family comes first, if my client time starts to affect my family, I will leave the business for that also)
