I read stories on A/R and hear stories from frineds about people who should be careful of a bite from having BAD KARMA!
What is Karma?
No the kind of CAR-MA my pal Patricia Kennedy talked about 2 months ago.
This is KARMA: (from Wikipedia) is the concept of "action" or "deed" in Indian religions understood as that which causes the entire cycle of cause and effect (samsara) described in Hindu, Jain, Sikh and Buddhist philosophies.
Ok - so weather you are religious or not - many folks believe in the basic concept - if you do something crappy to others - it will catch up to you!
Some recent stories by people being nasty to others:
My friend was sharing a cab from the airport after "one of those flights from hell. The other passenger told the driver he needed to stop at an ATM. My friend said; I'll pay, just send me the $20 in the mail. That was a month ago. No $20. CREEP
Attacking others on their blog post by calling them names or telling them they are a bad Realtor or bad person. UM sorry - you are not judge nor jury. Get out of the glass house.
A client standing an agent up for a house showing without a phone call or explanation. When the agent calls to ask if everything is OK; the client says "I changed my mind" and hangs up.
'Tis the season to be just a little bit nicer to people. Well we should ALWAYS be nice, decent people - but can we try just a little harder to be decent to each other over the holidays?!?!
How about these ideas:
-Celebrate other successes!
-Don't lean on your car horn every second while in Mall traffic
-Don't lie, cheat or be a creep
-Stop calling other people names
-If you disagree with someone or something the say or write - disagree respectfully
-Go buy a toy for a child
-Call an old friend
(Get the picture?)
James, I'm reading this while putting curls in my hair for this afternoon's service and going away party. And I invite you to adopt my friend as your special guardian angel who will help you with both Karma and Car-ma. On earth, she channeled St. Anthony to find us parking places, and they usually had full meters!
Oh, god, Cheryl! Am I embarrassing you?
