If babies like you, you are probably a "good" guy? Conversely, if they shy away from you or instinctively cry when they are around you, well, you might want to bone up on the golden rule. A study done by Yale University that is published in "Nature" magazine reveals that six to ten month old babies are capable judges of character. They can pick out the good guys and not only that, they more easily identify with them. The principal author of the study, Kiley Hamlin notes that "babies are very competent socially. They can figure out this kind of stuff without people explicitly teaching them what's nice and not nice, and who's nice and who's not nice."
Guess when Adam and Eve took the forbidden fruit, we all did indeed inherit an innate knowledge of good and evil. Hmmmm?
