Little Kids can Tell!!!

By

If babies like you, you are probably a "good" guy?   Conversely, if they shy away from you or instinctively cry when they are around you, well, you might want to bone up on the golden rule.  A study done by Yale University that is published in "Nature" magazine reveals that six to ten month old babies are capable judges of character.  They can pick out the good guys and not  only that, they more easily identify with them.  The principal author of the study, Kiley Hamlin notes that "babies are very competent socially.  They can figure out this kind of stuff without people explicitly teaching them what's nice and not nice, and who's nice and who's not nice."

Guess when Adam and Eve took the forbidden fruit, we all did indeed inherit an innate knowledge of good and evil.   Hmmmm?

Too bad it gets lost once they grow up.  If only that knowledge of good and evil stuck with humans as they get older.

Very interesting Jerry!  It's funny how some of us can keep these instincts and others lose it.  Must have something do to with ones personality or upbringing!!

Sue, Arina;   I am glad there are some of us who can still see the pleasure kids bring to us in so many, very many ways.   Life is good!   Jerry
