Thomaston Opera House Re-Opens with Willy Wonka, JR
After undergoing extensive repairs over the past 18 months, the Thomaston Opera House reopens this weekend to the laughs of children and the tasty dreams of chocolate, just in time for Easter.
With a cast of children from surrounding towns, the cast of the Curtain Call Kids will put on their rendition of the famous Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
The show will be presented on Friday March 23 and Saturday March 24 at 7:30 PM
Tickets are $10.00 for adults, and $8.00 for children under 10. Tickets are available at the door by cash or check.
The Thomaston Opera house is a circa-1884 opera house with seating for 520. The production company that manages the facility expects to debut their own locally produced musical, ‘The Music Man, in April.
The story of Willie Wonka, is one of a contest to find 5 special Wonka bars with certificates allowing for a tour of the Chocolate Factory. Along the way adventures and mishaps offer levity and entertainment to the quest.
