John, I'm sure this is a huge event for your area!  I haven't been to a rodeo since I was in high school growing up in Louisiana, so it's been a LOOOOONG time!  Bill

Hi John --- it's incredible how forums such as The Pit in Albuquerque can quickly transform from a major basketball event to a bull riding competition -- as with practicing real estate, these venues need to be very flexible and change with the times.

From NCAA basketball to bull riding in a short period of time is some terrific accomplishment for the working guys who do all the dirty work. The bull Riding event in The Pit sounds like it is a major rodeo event on their circuit and I think you are correct attendance will be high this year. If you folks attend please take lots of pictures so we all can get a feel for the action.

John: That would be fun to watch, but better them than me!  :)  Unfortunately we don't get to go to events like that very often up here in Michigan.  I may have to plan a road trip- Thanks for sharing!  :)

Yee Haw! Everyone should get down to the Pit for the Ty Murray Invitational.  If Ty Murray is there maybe he'll also bust out some of his Dancing with the Stars moves! :-)

John - From hardwoods to cow pies... that one heck of a turn-around for the arena.  Hope on a bull and give us AR's somebody to cheer for in the Ty Murray Invitational!

While I like to watch the bull riding competition.  I can't for the life of me understand the motivation for actually climbing on one of those bad boys and then risk being stomped to death when you get off.

There is certainly no bull about how our UNM PIT can be a venue for just about anything quickly. Thanks for keeping us updated on events there.

Fellow Rainers:

The Ty Murray Invitational Bull Riding At The Pit - Albuquerque NM kicked off last night with a bucking good time for all.  One bull rider was thrown under a 2,000 bull and trampled badly.  He walked away with help but I bet he's moving slow today!  Debbie and I are planning on going either tonight or Sunday afternoon.  Just depends on how our schedule works out.  If they allow camera's I'll be taking some photos to share with you later on.

I have been working with buyers showing many homes and am sorry I don't have time to right now to address each of your comments individually.  Wishing you each a great weekend in and out of the Rain!

John - I hadn't really thought about how much work really goes into transforming a basketball arena to a place to hold a world class bull riding event, but you've done a great job in explaining just how that happens.   Have a great time watching the bull riders!
