Lee & Carol - what a tranquil pond!  I bet our turtles would have a field day in there!  We tried putting water lillies in their pond, but they mowed them down pretty quickly....

Oh, I bet they were a tasty treat for your Turtles, Sharon! We had water lilies in our ponds growing up in Homestead, FL and I've always loved them.

Very pretty Lee and Carol!  I love the lily pad flowers though I've never seen them up close.  Are the petals stiff like an Orchid or what?

It does, Karen! This pond is part of 44 acres in the Murphy, NC mountains. Honestly DeeDee, I've never actually touched one. Orchids are one of my favorite flowers too.

I know Tammy. Have you ever seen where they take oak buckets and make water features out of them for small spaces? Just enough to hold a lily or two and perfect for smaller spaces and no digging.
