What is the difference is between a view and a click? It seems to me that one has to click to view.  If a blogger has high views and low comments, does that mean there is something wrong with your blog? Maybe its not interesting? Yet I have stumbled upon some very intersting blogs with 0 comments.

I have noticed that if I am speed reading for information that I often do not leave a comment. Usually the reason I do not leave a comment is that "my" comment has already been said, the blog is already saturated with comments, or there is no reason to comment. The no comment response would basically be for an informative article that I appreciate but have nothing to add. There is an "Art" to commenting: "The Karma of Comments" , by Rich Jacobson.  There is tons of blogs regarding commenting that can be found by using your search engine, choosing blog, and typing: comments, commenting.

Also, I found the draft option the other day and assumed that was a place to store blogs to pick up later. The only problem is--I haven't found a way to retrieve a draft.

Use of bookmarke: i.e., to store awesome articles to read more closely, i.e., Browsing the traffic statistics or

It could be enlightening to know who it was that read your profile. It makes me wonder what they were thinking...

My understanding of the difference between a view and a click I was reading the new blogs... I read one about smoking before yours, I will be a view on his... on yours I clicked on it it leave this comment.  If some one clicks on it to read the comments, to leave a comment it is a click.

If I read a long string of blogs I get counted as a view on those I don't click on.

You wrote: "If a blogger has high views and low comments, does that mean there is something wrong with your blog? Maybe its not interesting?"

Not necessarily.

"Yet I have stumbled upon some very intersting blogs with 0 comments."

See!  Then leave a comment.... you don't have to worry about reading others comments, you don't have to worry about leaving a comment different than what others have written.  It is an ideal solution for all involved.

When you've saved as a draft, use edit to reopen, then remember at the end to make it public, members only, associates only etc.

Suzi, when you go to the Blog Dashboard, and you click on one of the featured posts, that is a click. When you just go to the general blogs-no ads, and there are multiple blogs per page as you scroll down, that is considered a view. If you stop at one and want to leave a comment, then you click on comment, and it becomes a click.

High views and low comments is not as concerning as High clicks and no comments. You may naturally get alot of views, depending on the time of day you post. But if people are drawn to your post, and actually click on it, but don't comment, it could mean that you are not provoking a response from them, not asking for their opinion. Always make sure your post has a primary point and a call for opinion or response.

Suzi, I know what you mean about commenting. There are times when I purposely look for posts that don't have many comments. But if I come across a post that I enjoy and inspires me, I will comment regardless of how many comments there are.

The number of tools on AR have grown in the short time that I have been here. I find them very useful and informative.

Thanks for guidance Rich and Maureen. So, would you say that views are more accidental and clicks are purposeful? One of my goals is to bring some good blogs of others that seem to be in obscurity to an attention level they deserve. So, I more intentionally look for and comment on 0 or low comment blogs. At the same time, I realize that a high # of comments often (but not always) is an indicater of the quality of the blog or writer, such as with the both of you and most but not all of the featured blogs.

David, Welcome by the way. Do you utilize localism.com? That is one of my favorite new tools.

Suzi, clicks are definitely purposeful and views more random.

Dee, if you have time to humor me, go to http://localism.com  click Mississippi, click harrison county. then click on Pass Christian, Long Beach, Gulport, Biloxi  . I love localism.com  The humorous result here is that my revered local mentor/competitor did the market reports and I did photos.

Just poking around and was wondering what the clicks & views meant.  Also had a few minutes to look at your Localism Area.  I haven't figured out pictures yet but loaded quite a bit in my area during my first two weeks here.
