What happens when you tweet ActiveRain Short URLs? In my experience, tons of exposure and contacts from real people interested in buying or selling real estate. Ok, what are ActiveRain short URLs? At the end of every blog post, ActiveRain gives you the option to click on and create a Short (otherwise known as tiny) URL link back to your blog post.
Frankly nothing happens if you just click on it and make the link. You actually have to do something with it. You can copy and paste in any of the social media sites you use if you use any. My favorite continues to be Twitter. On the last post I wrote this afternoon about Ziggs, I immediately did a microblog on twitter. In less than two minutes, I had 28 hits from Twitter and I just received a DM (direct message) inquiry from one of my followers via Twitter’s messaging system about more information on one of our listings on the sidebar of my ActiveRain blog.
Although as of this moment, I have yet to get any comments on the Ziggs post - It’s a bird. It’s a Plane. It’s Ziggs! However, it is clear ActiveRain gave me the tool not only to create the post but also to blast it out on social media. What a gift for anyone in our business when time management is such a challenge.
Are you using these ActiveRain Short urls? If so what is your experience? From mine, they are a dollar productive blessing. Thank you Activerain! @emilymedvec
