REALTORS, whether you say YES or you say NO, either way there is an Opportunity Cost!
No decision IS a decision, so when you say YES or NO to an appointment or a listing, there is a cost no matter what.
But when you make the decision of taking or declining the appointment or listing, here is the scoop.
That overpriced listing that is going to take a year to sell until the number is reached that you told the Seller in the first place would work?
How many extra sales have you forfeited or gained by saying NO? It is a choice you know!
That appointment to meet you on the spot and drop everything you are doing because supposedly this Purchaser is HOT as a lead?
Not! That same discourteous, disrespectful ME ME behavior will be evident in each part of the home buying process.
RUN don't walk to the nearest exit.
How does the drain of energy and drain of time work well for you over a career time of Realtor activities?
Safety issues, time management issues, commitment responsibilities, fair housing issues set aside...
As Realtors we get paid to sell homes. That does not mean forfeit good sense, confirmed schedules, and respectful or considerate treatment.
You train people how to treat you. Accept doormat, you get it.
