Looking at the vignette effect on the vintage tractor photos taken in Franklin, NC this past week makes me feel like I could easily have taken them with one of those huge format cameras that photographers had to drape black fabric over themselves and the camera. Oh yeah, I would also like to envision myself wearing one of those long coats with the long tails…

now that WOULD be a picture!

Neat looking tractor and cool effect. I bet the farmers backside was a little sore the first time he used it!

Than, it might be a toss up as to what would cause more pain...a horse or the tractor seat!

Mona

Great pics.

As a Home Inspector in Hilton Head, SC., I do not get to see many tractors or farms during the course of my days, but when traveling (especially in NC), I love seeing the rural farms (and tractors).

Thanks for posting the pics.

Good morning Mona. These are just wonderful pictures and so evocative of a time gone by. I wouldn't mind seeing you in that garb. Maybe Leslie could take that picture. Enjoy the day.

Hi Mona, I think it's also remarkable to see all the other stuff in the back.. it's like someone just drove it home, parked it and it's been sittting there ever since. Lets just hope it will stay there for a long time to come.

Hi Mona,  That tractor made the perfect setting for some wonderful photos.  I love the vintage affect you used.

John, I imagine there aren't many tractors in Hilton Head...probably a restriction against them.  Probably once you get a little away from HH though, I'll bet you'd find some.

Sheila, I've always wanted one of those coats...no matter how impractical.

Andrea, that's why I loved this scene. It really looks like a step back in time.

Belinda, nice to see you.  I've never used the vignette tool before. In this application it made sense.

Hi Mona, Nice shots and certainly a nice way to present these vintage machines. I especially like the first one that puts " vintage" in great prespective. Well Done!

Beautiful, as always, Mona - you have such a wonderful eye for photo's - and the vignette feature really makes it look very vintage.

That tractor is an oldie but a goodie! It is easy to envision myself standing beside that tractor in a long coat! Enjoy your day!

Karen, thanks.  I really liked the photos you took of the mailboxes.

Wayne, you'd have to trade that tie in for bibs...and you know I'd snap the picture!

Allen, I used to take a lot of b/w when I used actual film.  I should try that, thanks.  See you around town ;-D

Hi Mona,

I like how you framed them. I am so disgusted with Picnik closing. I need to find a good substitute.
