The weather is perfect today !!!!! I am really in the Holiday mood now. How about you???
O<:o) HO HO HO
Lets hope that the next year will bring everyone peace of mind and joy in the little things in life! We have been so fortunate in real estate---don't you think? There are so many things to be grateful for, now is the time to really take an inventory of the valuable things we have gained and learned! I know I have learned more this year than ever before.
I learned that most people need to be educated as to what their homes mean to them....the house is more than just a home ! (This is a new twist on the saying "...a home is more than just a house") New found financial freedom has been discovered by the average home owner--this is still a fact. Even though the market has softened significantly throughout the nation, if a person is able to make ends meet to keep their home, most people will make that effort. When all is said and done, most people will still have what becomes, once again, their most precious and valuable asset. WE MUST NOT LOSE SIGHT OF THIS!
The help that the government offers may not "bail" all people out but in fact, it does ease the concern of MOST and I believe that is the goal. After this fiasco dies down and common sense prevails, I believe that the average person will have a new -found respect for homeownership.
Home Ownership is a very special thing--it puts an individual into another stratosphere in terms of personal wealth and financial Independence....we, in the real estate profession must NOT lose sight of this. It really is our job to inform the individual, especially the first time buyer, of this very special status.
