New England Patriots The New York Jets take on the New England Patriots this afternoon in a game that should beNY Jets lopsided. The Patriots bring a record of 13-0 to Foxborough and the Jets are 3-10 and this is billed as a grudge rematch.

Back in week one of the season the Patriots were caught video taping the Jets sidelines, coaches and the clock above. The NFL sent out a memo a couple of weeks earlier stating that this will not be tolerated and is against the rules. The Patriots had an employee on the sidelines video taping and the Jets security escorted him out and confiscated the camera and the tape. This was 7 minutes into the first quarter and the Pats never viewed the tape.

This incident has become to be known as "Spygate". The coach of the Patriots Bill Belichick was fined $500,000 and the team was fined $250,000 and they also lost their first round draft pick for 2008. A lot of critics say Belichik should have been suspended at least one game if not half the season. A lot of debate about the Pats being cheaters and should there be an asterisk * along side their names if they go undefeated and win the Super Bowl.

The Miami Dolphins 1972  team is cheering that the Patriots lose and they remain as the only undefeated team in league history. A few of their players and their coach Don Shula have been quoted as saying the Pats season has been tainted because of Spygate.

Shula is quoted as saying "The Spygate thing has diminished what they've accomplished. You would hate to have that attached to your accomplishments. They've got it,"

The funny part is after he said it he has been back peddling as to what he said.

All told the Pats will come out and pound the Jets and it will be an interesting game as Pats fans will be wanting to see a massacre and I am sure the Pats players will want to seek revenge deep down.

Another key the Pats fans will want to watch is at the end of the game, to see how  Belichick handles the game ending handshake at midfield with Eric Mangini.

Some sports writers here say he will not shake his hand and if he doesn't that would be a disgrace. I think he will. Belichick may not be the best interview but he is the best coach in the NFL today.

Jay - people can say what they want...the proof is in the numbers. I get criticized all the time by saying that Belichick is the best coach in the NFL, but it's the truth. He's so focused. Go Pats!  I saw on the news how they removed snow from the seating at the stadium. They have it down to an art form! Amazing!

Jay - I will not dispute your game prediction of 42 - 10 score favoring the Patriots as you proved last week you know our Pats. As far as "spygate" - give me a break - an asterisk???? After all the other sports scandels and no asterisks there why would it even be mentioned here when we all know if the Pats got caught all the other teams were doing the same thing. No excuse for doing it but an asterisk??? It did not affect the outcome of the game did it?

Jay- you write awesome previews for your Pats! Love ot read 'em even if green envy is growing on me ever-so-quickly in regards to your team!!! :)   And I think B.B's interviews are awesome to watch. He ducks the issues better than Bill Clinton!

I've got the Jets with Atlanta and St. Louis all to cover in my loser-upset special....so go gang green, keep it within 20!

Thanks Jim, that is greatly appreciated. Best of Luck in your Losers. LOL

BB can duck a question. He was classic Bill when the spygate controversy all came to a head.

The Pats win UGLY but a win is a win is a win. 14-0 only the second team to do it. Steelers Jacksonville game pretty good if you are a Jaguar fan. LOL Go Jags.

Jay, any win is a good win, but the weather sure made for a good defense for the Jets.  Two more for 16-0 :)

Hi All, Just go tback in from shoveling and Belichick and Mangini did shake hands and Belichick said to Mangini "great game, great game awesome" is what I heard him say after the game. He also shook hands and hugged a Jet player and coach on his way off the field.

Oh well, I missed the Pats score but th e defense played pretty good. Special teams good and then the offense was average at best.

Miami won, so next week will be anti climatic.

Go Pats!!!

How bout the weather in Cleveland and Pittsburgh?!?! Think they got everything they were looking for in New England!

Well, I was going to write a blog about how it's getting awfully lopsided here about the Patriots and there's no love for my 'Boys, but after the pitiful performance today I say GO PATS all the way!! Romeo Romo needs to keep his head off Jessica Simpson and on the game!  Pitiful...

Jim, I did see that and I really thought that the Pats game would have been just like that if not worse. We got close to a foot an hr and 15 minutes north.

Linda, I feel your pain. I really feel with last weeks squeaker and this weeks loss that maybe the Cowboys are not going into the final weeks on an upside. I don't think they want to go to Green Bay for the NFC Championship game if they get that far.

They sure weren't communicating well at all today. I think they want to go into Green Bay as much as Green Bay wants to come to Dallas!
