11 Comments on Laminate flooring: 6 reasons laminate has become popular in Westchester NY
Debbie - Everyone can see why you are the go to person for flooring. Again a wonderful post educating us all about flooring.... I certainly would refer you to any customer we come across for flooring.. We have been seeing a lot of laminates lately as well in homes that we have been showing...Their popularity is certainly on the rise.
Robert & Lisa - You guys are so sweet, and I'm so glad you are seeing the same trends in Bergen.
Nice commentary, Debbie. I have an investor who flips homes, and he refuses to put carpet in the home! Buyers love the laminates he uses.
Teresa - Yes, laminate is much better option than carpet (and of course hardwood is an even better option).
Debbie -- I've also noticed that in some condominium complexes, the CC & R's(rules/regulations) state no exposed hardwood floors but laminate flooring is acceptable.
I have purchased many homes to flip, that have laminate floor. Many have installed incorrectly, probably by the do it yourselfer. When done correctly they are a great option.
Thank you for sharing the post with all of us.
Michael - That is odd...most places are consistent w/ hardwood and laminate. That being said, if new hardwood or laminate is installed, you can use a cork underlayment to muffle sound.
Joe - You are so right...I've seen way too many do-it-yourself laminate jobs that are terrible. And, yes, when they are done correctly, they are great.
Laminate offers good bang for the buck and many homebuyers can't tell the difference vs engineered. Thanks
David - Yes they are a very good value and their quality has really improved.
Debbie great list again. A floor that is kid and pet friendly and affordable is no wonder popular among home owners.
Eileen - Exactly. There is so much going for laminate flooring.
