Spoons Cafe in Federal Hill - A Great Place for Lunch and More

Last week we had a very busy day, visiting several properties in and around Baltimore with the possibility of listing and selling and clients to meet.  My partner Skip and I found ourselves in Federal Hill around lunchtime.  We parked and walked along Light Street looking for an affordable lunch for a bit and nothing sparked our interest, we looked at some menu's in the window and walked through Cross Street Market.  We didn't know quite what we wanted.

I had been to Spoons Cafe a few times over the years for breakfast and a couple times for lunch.  I suggested it and we decided to go there.

Spoons Cafe is located at 24 E. Cross Street in Baltimore in the popular Federal Hill neighborhood.  It is located directly across the street from Cross Street Market.

The atmosphere is casual, lots of tables and comfortable seating with good lighting plus they have Wi-Fi.

As couples go, Skip and I are pretty predictable and in most instances share the same interests and the same taste in food so it was no surprise that we both ordered the same Cali-Chicken sandwich.  However, I ordered it with a salad and Skip ordered it with chips.  Both of us had iced tea.  The service was quick and friendly.  The food came out quickly and was delicious.   The greens were fresh and crisp as were the cucumbers, carrots and onions.  Too often restaurants serve vegetablews that are less than fresh and greens often wilt quickly but these were really fresh, crisp and tasty.

The price was excellent and the atmosphere pleasant.  This is a great location to meet clients or just to have a quiet drink.  Spoons is now open Monday and Tuesday 7am until 3pm, then Wednesday through Saturday 7am to 9pm and Sunday 7:30 until 8pm.

I won't wait so long before visiting Spoons Cafe again!!  You can look at their menu on their website and also visit them on facebook
