Confluence Park Has Everything For The Whole Family. Within the city limits of Delta, Colorado is this great park with over five miles of walking trails and a 60 acre lake stocked with fish every year. There's even a fenced dog park for your canine family member, and your dog is welcome anywhere in the park as long as it's on a leash. From one of the walking trails you can access a cable bridge that will take you to the confluence of the Gunnison and Uncompahgre Rivers.
The park covers 265 acres with views of the Grand Mesa and the West Elk Mountains. There are covered and open picnic areas with grills, a handicapped accessible fishing area and a boat ramp.
Only non motorized water craft is allowed on the lake. The lake is stocked with trout every year, and there's also catfish and sunfish. There's also easy river access for more challenging fishing. There's all kinds of wildlife that can be seen. A fox calls this park home and isn't shy. It can be seen playing along the walking trails. The lake is where the city sets off it's grand fireworks display every 4th of July. There truly is something for everyone at Confluence Park.
