Spring Street Sweeping In Brampton Ontario Canada
This is a sure sign Spring has arrived in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, the street sweepers will be out doing their annual Spring cleanup beginning April 10, 2012.
These sweepers will be out cleaning up any sand and debris that accumulated over the winter season. Its important this gets done as soon as possible so the storm sewers don't get clogged up.
The City is asking for our co-operation during this process by keeping vehicles off the residential streets, keeping garbage containers & recycling boxes away from the roads, keeping basketball and hockey nets off the roads as well as away from curbs and to please be patient with the noise and dust that may occur.
As usual the sweepers will be out on a regular basis keeping our City beautiful until Thanksgiving.
Spring Street Sweeping In Brampton Ontario Canada
Al and Peggy,
Yep a sure sing of spring is city street sweepers on the prowl. Albuquerque has street sweepers year round due to the sand and dirt that those winds blow in. It's a great way to keep it out of the house and cars! Great Localism for the good folks in your area.
Al & Peggy, it is a sure sign of spring, especially if the weather is past the "sand & gravel" stages of the weather!
Thanks John, its always nice to see those big trucks tidying up the streets although with the easy winter we had, there shouldn't be too much to clean.
Yes and it is Joan! We are looking forward to full sun ahead but of course those good old boys will keep our streets sparkling all summer long.
Al/Peggy...your post made me realize I haven't seen a street sweeper the entire time I have lived here in middle GA. HA.
Al and Peggy ....They were out here in full force last week ....It makes the streets look so much better! Have a great day!
Hi Al and Peggy - If you had written this post for Toronto rather than Brampton, I can assure you that it would be impossible to comply, in many situations, with some of those requests by the city but I won't state my reasons publicly.
That is strange Anita, maybe you just have great weather and clean residents!!
Doesn't it Rob? You don't think the roads look bad until the sweepers clean and then you realize all that dirt and debris really was making the roadways dirty looking.
Ha, well it is hard for those sweepers to play dodge the parked cars Marc and when they do the line in the sand road shows it!
Al and Peggy I haven't heard the sweeper yet but I know it will be here soon. It is nice to see a freshly swept street.
Happy spring.
Al/Peggy, The sweepers haven't been around our neighborhood yet, but we're sure they are on their way. Isn't Springtime sensational!
Al and Peggy - it's definitely time to clean up the last of old man winters mess ..... driving down the road in the country we expect dust storms to follow us ..... after a winter of salt and sand there are some paved roads that are just as bad as our country roads for dust.
Oh it is Jennifer and really makes a difference in how the streets look!
Yes it is and the sweepers are one of the tell tale signs of Spring Larry and Sheila
Wow, that is the only problem with the use of salt and sand during the winter, but the sweepers will clean it up in no time Kathy.
For some reason I actually think I would enjoy working as a street sweeper. I just think it's because I love cleaning. I feel like it's such an awarding activity. How hard would you say it is to get a job as a street sweeper?
