Best way to sale anything ...you must first LISTEN
Most of the time when I tell people I am a sales person I immediately get a bad reaction.
I even had a customer that told me there was no way he could ever consider me a sales person because sales people were shady, dishonest, egotistical and generally disliked.
That is such a sad comparison from my point of view because............
I have known so many amazing sales peoplewho are great sales people. The truth is these types of individuals are probably the ones we remember the most, but when we think about them it is either to remember the time we got "taken" or the guy who "ran us off the money". Stop for a second and think of all the time you have gotten something just because that nice sale person took so time out to help you.
What is the secret to sales success. It is simple LISTEN!
My teacher use to tell me "You have 2 ears and only 1 mouth so you should listen twice as much as you speak".... If you listen to a person long enough they will tell you everything that you need to know to sell them. It isn't the pushy salesperson, we want to buy things from but the sales person who will take the time to make sure we "feel" good about a purchase.
