Early this year a young couple (first time buyers) contacted me after seeing my AR post about Port Potomac. They are expecting their first child and preferred a detached home with a yard. However, the available resale homes in Port Potomac did not meet that requirement

Fortunately, Eagles Pointe, a subdivision of new detached homes is also in their preferred area. There were detached homes available for delivery on loan approval. They signed a contract and will be settling the end of this month.

Since the home was ready for occupancy they could not have a pre-drywall inspection. However, they arranged for AR member and home inspector, Jay Markanich, to do a pre-settlement inspection in the morning of the day they were to do a walkthrough with the builder's representative.

Jay did an excellent job of briefing my first time buyer on future care items and also pointed out what he believed to be exceptionally good construction features as I knew he would. Unlike other home inspectors I am very familiar with Jay's knowledge - after all I see his posts on AR on a regular basis.

If you have been on AR any length of time you realize you know many people to whom you can refer outbound clients. After you've read their many posts you achieve a comfort level that you can't get with an online directory. In my opinion, my opportunity to write hyper-local posts and associate with so many AR members is an asset I hope I never have to relinquish.

So... Congratulations.  By the way... from following your Eagles Pointe link, I see that KHOV is the builder of these homes.  They also build in the Fort Worth area.  Do you have a link to their website?  I am curious to compare what they do up there to what they build down here in Fort Worth.
