How to get a Milledgeville agent who will answer the phone?

That's SO easy. Just call Lane Realty. 706-485-9668 And honestly while we may not always answer the phone every time it rings if you leave us a voice mail we'll call you back. Today I had a call from a young man who phoned in on a listing from a zip code I advertise in on zillow. The house he inquired about had actually closed a month ago and that's not all that uncommon. I'm really not sure why agents don't update their listings, but that's a different subject.

When the house he inquired about was sold I asked for a name and email address so I could send him over a few more similarly priced, sized homes in the same general area. Within a few minutes I had gotten a second call thanking me for the email and quick response. I had a ton of paper work to do this afternoon and I am meeting with a buyer between 5 and 6 to sign some additional documents on a REO purchase so I couldn't offer to show this young man and his wife property today, but I did invite them to come sit down and discuss what they are looking for, where they are looking and of course their pre-approval status.

In about an hour they were sitting in my office and telling me who they are pre-qualified with and we're scheduling 6 homes to see tomorrow. They also shared with me that I was the THIRD agent they had tried to form a relationship with for representation. Apparently the first two have all the business they want and no good referral system. Thanks guys. Because I just love first time home buyers who are already working with a lender and are pre-qualified and working toward pre-approval.

So, Miss Tammy... what you are trying to tell me here... is that besides being the Queen of Lake Sinclair, you are also the Queen of Milledgeville ? Ahhh... it figures. And you wear that crown so well.

It really IS true that we as agents, and buyers as well, can learn so much about an agent from reading her blog. And, after getting to know you through your blog... there is just no question about who I would call if I were a buyer looking for a home in either Milledgeville, or Lake Sinclair.

Anna= 3 years ago I was the only first time buyer I'd ever met. I sold lake homes to mostly people buying second homes. I have changed my game and I found that I really love first time buyers.

I generally pick up the phone (unless I'm with another client). :) Somehow I always feel like I'm the lucky one when clients choose me.

Hi Tammy, good for you!!! Lack of response or lack of communication seem to be the main complaints people have about agents. It does not really reflect great on us in general but it sure makes you look real good! The only reason I don't get back to someone is if they don't leave me a contact number and caller ID shows "private number"!

Carla- we refer "in office" which I don't mind. But they are the cutest couple and I think they are fantastic.

Seriously, it is good to get back to people. I work with a lot of agents, but there are only two that I would recommend. Because they are prompt at returning calls and emails. And, they can really work the first-time homebuyer programs and know their stuff.
