Alameda CERT all hands meeting

Alameda Community Emergency Response Team Logo

All CERT (Alameda Community Emergency Response Team) graduates are invited to attend a city wide meeting to learn about policy updates and new program for 2012, on Tuesday, March 27 at 7 PM at the Alameda Library at 1550 Oak Street.

CERT Tom Schweich, District CoordinatorThe Alameda CERT executive committee has made changes to the organization and those changes will be discussed this evening.  Alameda CERT members will learn about new districts and rally points and how neighborhood teams fits into the new district and how CERT fits into the new City plan.  Members will have an opportunity to meet their district coordinators and will receive an updated Standard Operating Procedures.

Alameda CERT members will be guided through a tour of the new and improved website completely overhauled by our web master Jim Wright.  It has everything members need to find out what is going on with Alameda CERT and learn about the schedule of new classes.

Alameda is a wonderful island community, with its tree lined streets, friendly neighborhoods and lovely architecture.  I write about Living in Alameda every Friday. If you would like more information about Alameda please visit Living in Alameda or my facebook page.
