Boot Hill, Livermore, CA 94550

Well, you may not have bright blue skies today, but you’re bound to catch one before these beautiful bulbs lose their vibrant color.  This modest hill is adjacent to Granada High School, and has been planted year after year will spring bulbs. They’re in full bloom now, and you can usually catch a glimpse of a photographer and his clients seizing the moment for that optimum family, engagement or just plain fun photo.

Once the site of a cemetery, and called Boot Hill by locals, the graves were relocated and planted with hundreds of bulbs.  So pop by (corner of Stanley and Wall St) and get your own Spring Photo.

Karen, That is a nice photo!  It won't be long until everything is in bloom!

Richard, we usually have some sunshine to go with the colorful spring blooms. But we had sun most of the winter and now that spring is here, the sun has gone missing!

Tony - thanks. Harder to enjoy in the rain :(

Looks like a beautiful place Karen. Boot hill huh? Wonder why the graves were relocated since it is still vacant land. SF relocated most cemetaries long ago to Colma. And the former grave sites are all built up now. Hmmm...reminds me of a movie where caskets started floating up in the rains.

John, from what I understand it was due to erosion. That wouldn't be a pretty site.  Meanwhile, we are putting together a Meet Up again. Hope you'll be able to make it. Looks like it will be in my hometown of Livermore. A little wine tasting perhaps?

Hi Karen,

This is such a colorful time of the year. Your photo is beautiful and the landscape is lovely too. I think the northern part of California is so pretty and green.
