SEO, Google Maps and Your address- Important SEO information.

                        Google Maps and your SEO

This is very important information if your place of business does not serve customers at your business location.

Google is always tweaking their algorithms.  It now looks like Google wants businesses like home inspectors or other service companies where you serve people at their locations to now “HIDE” your address at www.google.com/local/add for you business or be dropped from Google maps.

From Google under business location (from the link above)-
“If you don't receive customers at your location, you must select the "Do not show my business address on my Maps listing" option within your dashboard. If you don't hide your address, your listing may be removed from Google Maps.”               Yikes!!!!


So if you are like me and provide services at your customer’s site you should go hide your address.
