9 Comments on 5 Reasons - You Should Not Call A Home Stager
Great way to present this to people, Barb. Really drives the point home in an original way. Thanks!
Barb- excellent reasons! As a Stager, I tell the seller how important it is listen to their Realtor and price the home appropriately. I prepare them for what mind-set they will need to sell their house. It's like butting your head against a brick wall to try stage a home without the points you mentioned above.
Chris ~ Another example that our mission is to constantly educate the public. Thanks for your comments!
Kathy ~ We're all on the same team of getting to SOLD!
Nicely put, Barb! It really does take a team for a successful sale: seller, real estate agent, staging professional all working together toward the same goal and taking the necessary actions to achieve that goal.
Barb, your reasons are very logical ... if sellers aren't truly READY for selling their property, no amount of home staging will really help them. And glad to see that realistic pricing tops the list -- it's the first ingredient in a formula that absolutely provides the foundation for a successful sale.
Diana ~ When Realtors see home stagers as part of the marketing team, results happen much faster.
Maureen ~ Much of our success as stagers depends on our ability to instill the right mindset in Realtors and sellers. A large part of what we do is education, isn't it.
Excellent post, Barb!!! All these reasons make a stager wonder "why did they even call us" - if their comittment of the home sellers is not really there....
I had a client who questioned every single thing that I said and said almost to everything "I won't make that change" - in the end I left and just asked myself "why did she even call us?"
Oh, forgot the mention - your post has been featured within the "Realtors and Home Stagers Information Exchange Group"
Birgit ~ Thanks for the feature. Our most successful staging jobs that have sold within 24 hrs. to two weeks are the clients that have been willing to make the changes we suggest to them. Isn't that why they call in a professional? The others really aren't ready to sell are they?
