I was going through hubby's local pix to post to localism, and found this one. It's one of my all time favorites, especially since I couldn't bring myself to climb out of bed that moring, and still regret it. This lasted for over 4 hours! Hubby is a very patient man. Yes, it's a time lapse, but for those of you who missed this event a few months ago, that's what it looked like from here!
Enjoy:-)

Jennifer, ok, you got it. Should be in your soulfull group now! :-) PS: welcome home?

Tara, thank you! I still wish i had gotten out of bed for this one, the only problem other than I am not a morning person is that it would have taken about four hours to catch what you can all see in thei photo.
Thanks for stopping by!

Inna - So I was just sitting here looking at the picture and it struck me that the moon has always held a unique place in man's heart. The sun came up and set pretty close to where it did it the day before. The moon was ever changing. Just think about that. The lord of the night was forever a mistress of mystery.

Nice photo's and thanks for the brain trip.

Mark, that's kind of what i was thinking, but then it struck me that somehow, in a really big way, i still missed it.

J-Mac... don't you go all philosophical on me now!  Well, actually, yeah, that's why i like you so go ahead! Even if it is about our ever shifting sattelite. :-)

"And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon."

Sorry, just popped in some Floyd while gazing at this amazing photo.

Carol, it's amazing what the lens sees... Hope i don't get too spoiled and start to prefer the pix to the real thing:-)

Paul: You and your music! Love Floyd.... Esp. that album... Thanks for the melody:-)

Gorgeous!  I hope you keep rifling through hubbie's pictures and sharing them with us.  I'm the mom who would wake up the kids and say "Let's go, the meteor shower is starting!"  Heavenly dances are the only thing that would get me out of a warm bed.

Elaine: you are so a girl after my own heart! The last big meteor shower we caught in the mountains of PA, and it was so unbearably cold, as we sat there with the little one still a todler all bundled up and poofy-eyed and the oldest being about 9 or so... we watched it for ours laying on a blanket in an empty field... So many stars danced their last dance so close to us, my oldest thought he could catch them.  At fifteen now, his plan for the very first date includes star-gazing from some dark open space...
Oops, i am highjacking my own blog, darn it!
:-)
