Christmas is a forced vacation

christmas lightsI don't know about the rest of the real estate community, but for me, Nashville doesn't seem to be interested in real estate around Christmas time. Even my online traffic seems to disappear.

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to generate business during the Holiday season? I'm sure that I'm not the only person here who's interested.

Larry,

Business always ebbs around the holidays, but anyone who shows any amount of interest at this time is a serious prospect...so even though there is less activity, what activity there is, is kind of prescreened!!! Thanks,   Fran

Well - I just stay the course. On the other hand, I have been pretty busy lately - 7 days a week is the norm for me - so after Thursday - I am looking forward to 5 days off.

Happy holidays

Yes, the holidays can be slower than other times of the year.  But the buyers this time of year, are serious!  If you find you have a lot of "down" time, it is the perfect time to work on all those business ideas/plans for the new year.  Get organized.  Update you data base.  Start writing your marketing materials.

Larry- You are doing a lot already. If they are out there, they will find you I am thinking...I like the suggestion of working on marketing etc for 2008. Otherwise how are we going to have the best year ever, both of us?! Huh?!

Get to work son!

I answered my own question. I'm going through my entire database an wishing everyone a great holiday. I didn't get far into it, before someone wanted to look at some property (2nd call). Maybe I should do this more often.

Vanessa - I would never throw anything at you, except compliments.

I am always crazy busy during the holidays.  One idea (since you have the picture up) is to make sure those flyer boxes stay full from the week before halloween to the week after New Year's Day.  People are out from trick or treating, to looking at Christmas lights to going to parties for Thanksgiving to New Year's Day!

Larry, Some years, it really blows-and-goes like this year. Others it is a good time to get caught up on marketing stuff. In either case, I'm busy.  8-)
