Are you part of the problem, or part of the solution?

Real Estate Agent with Pine Knoll Shores Realty 252-422-9000 NC 166249

Are you part of the problem, or part of the solution?

Sometimes things happen that you just can’t tolerate.

A program that means a lot to me and that impacts some of the most important people in my life was recently discontinued.  The people managing it all resigned at once.  I ranted.  I raved.  I blamed.  Finally, in a moment of sanity, I realized that this was a door opening that I was destined to walk through.

“But I’m too busy.  I will have to give up some other important things.  I’m not good at this.  There are others who would be so much better.  Let them do it.

Sigh.  Sometimes you just have to step up.

I’ve taken the first step.  I’ve committed to stepping up and giving my best to a program that has given much to me and my family.  I’ve announced my willingness and I’m putting together a team.  We may not be the best, but we will be part of the solution.

Marian - I think this is the problem for many things these days.  Too many don't want to get involved.

Marian:  I have always liked your spunk.  Hearing about many of the things you have been through... I have grown to admire you.  I love your attitude in this blog post.  And... bless her departed soul... I think my mother would have really, really liked you.  As you probably remember, her name was also Marian.

Have a great Sunday...

Sounds like a good idea. Instead of brooding about what was and was not, why not do something about it? Cool.

Dear Marian,

Sometimes, if you do not do it, it won't get done. Good thing you are able to do something about a cause dear to your heart.

Good for you, Marian. I heard a leader say that if you have negative comments and concerns, come up with options and ideas on how the problems could be changed or solved. You're doing just that.

Great attitude! More people need to evaluate their roles in different situations, if you're not helping, you're likely hindering.
