With the New Year Just around the corner- There are several things that you should be thinking about. If your dreams for 2007 were not accomplished then your goals for 2008 need some fine tuning. What will be one of the most common symptoms of a non working agent for 2008? The Grass is Greener somewhere else. Now if you choose to get out of the business. If you did not achieve the skills sets, the determination, the discipline and the connections that it takes to be a real estate agent- understood. Not everybody is cut out for the job of selling the most important commodity on planet earth. But if you are still in. If you are still staying in the game. Are you thinking about moving? Are you thinking about another office? There are probably several reasons to move. But the one in your mind- the grass is greener thinking- is a state of mind. You can have the state of mind you want any time. (just tell yourself that you are going to Disney Land-visualize it and recall sometime you have been there. You will discover yourself in a different state. For some it will be Happy for others they don't like Disney Land and the state of mind will reflect that.)
So...
Top three reasons to move in no particular order:
1) You will Make more Money-(this is very important but the motivation for this will wane once you have made some money)
2) Security, We all want that feeling that we are safe, even the most adventurous.( however in sales all sales security is not in a particular office, but in the systems. Not in the systems offered or preached. BUT the systems that you actually do.
3) Recognition- is what you are doing matter? If not in real estate itself does it matter for your dreams aspirations and goal. For some Real Estate is not the end. It is a Vehicle to get there.
So take a risk, take a chance! If the grass is greener it may be greener where you fertilize it with discipline and workable systems that you are working.

Val, I suspect many agents are considering moving to another office in 2008. My belief is that the problems/issues you have today will follow you whereever you go ! Until you master the skill sets needed to be successful in this business simply moving around will not prove very satisfying.
