Bowling Contest to Benefit Animal Shelter of Terryville CT

Saturday evening, March 31 starting at 6 PM.
Place: Wolcott Lanes, 955 Wolcott Rd, Wolcott CT

The strikes and spares will not only be for the teams, but also to benefit the Terryville dog and cat shelter, that burned down in November 2008.

The event is open to anyone that comes up with their team in 4-person groups. Teams are asked to make reservations in advance by calling 203-879-1469. The cost is $20 for 3 games.

The highlight event will feature 4 local mayors competing against a team representing four title holders of Miss Connecticut events, special beauties vs. the beasts!

The Terryville shelter has been rebuilt and will re-open on April 14. More information on the shelter and this event can be found at their shelter website, www.arfct.org

Come on out to watch the show, maybe bowl a few games and help the shelter.

Ed, I'm betting Beauties and the Beasts will be the most popular event at this soiree. :) Glad that the animal shelter is the benefactor of all the fun.

I am a terrible bowler, but I would be over there in a heartbeat if you were closer.  That is a great cause, and I hope they raise a lot of money.

Ed, sounds like a great event to help get the animal shelter of Terryville CT back on its feet.  Debra Walsh just did a post (or re-blogged) about a dog that was saved by a shelter...it's a real tear jerker with a happy ending.

I love bowling!!!  The good thing about Tennessee is that they have no smoking bans now and I can really enjoy it.  Great cause too!
